Wavy Hair (Type 2) – Lightweight Hydration & Weightless Definition
Wavy hair can be unpredictable—sometimes it looks effortlessly defined, and other times, it falls flat or gets frizzy. The key to gorgeous waves is balanced hydration without heaviness. Too much moisture can weigh your hair down, while too little can leave it dry and frizzy.
Our Wavy Hair Collection features lightweight cleansers, conditioners, and styling products designed to enhance your natural wave pattern, reduce frizz, and add soft, touchable definition—without making your hair feel greasy or limp.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need all of these products, or can I start with just a few?
Do I need all of these products, or can I start with just a few?
You can absolutely start simple. Most wavies begin with three basics: the Come Clean Gentle Cleanser for regular wash days, The One & Only Creamy Conditioner for hydration and detangling, and the Crème De La Curl Creme for lightweight, soft definition. If you want extra frizz control and hold, add the Hold Me Baby Curly Hair Gel. Use the Just To Clarify Clarifying Shampoo as your reset wash, and bring in the Kick Your Brass Toning Cleanser only if you’re blonde, highlighted, or grey.
Which cleanser is right for me?
Which cleanser is right for me?
If you’re adding the Just To Clarify Clarifying Shampoo, the Come Clean Gentle Cleanser, and the Kick Your Brass Toning Cleanser to your routine, here’s how we suggest rotating them:
• Use the Just To Clarify Clarifying Shampoo every 2–4 weeks to reset your scalp and strands by removing product build-up and impurities.
• For your regular in between washes, use the Come Clean Gentle Cleanser. It’s lightweight, non-stripping, and ideal for waves that get weighed down easily.
• Only use the Kick Your Brass Toning Cleanser when you want to tone your blonde/grey and remove unwanted brassiness.
How often should I clarify my waves?
How often should I clarify my waves?
Clarify every 2–4 weeks with the Just To Clarify Clarifying Shampoo to reset your scalp and strands.
Always follow with a deep conditioning treatment using The One & Only Creamy Conditioner to replenish moisture.
Are these products colour safe?
Are these products colour safe?
Yes — our range is sulphate and silicone free, and formulated to be gentle on colour-treated hair. Our products will not change your natural colour; if anything, they add shine and gloss. Artificial colour applied in salon naturally fades with washing and weathering over time — that’s normal and not caused by our products.
Can I use these products on children?
Can I use these products on children?
Absolutely. We recommend starting with three basics: the Come Clean Gentle Cleanser and The One & Only Creamy Conditioner for wash and condition. If needed, smooth a small amount of the Crème De La Curl Creme over the hair as a leave-in for frizz and tangles. Most children don’t need to use a gel until they’re a little older.
Will these weigh my waves down?
Will these weigh my waves down?
Used correctly, no. These formulas are purposely lightweight for waves and finer textures, providing moisture and curl retention without heaviness. Apply small amounts and add plenty of water for slip.
What’s the difference between the Crème De La Curl Creme and the Hold Me Baby Curly Hair Gel? Do I need both?
What’s the difference between the Crème De La Curl Creme and the Hold Me Baby Curly Hair Gel? Do I need both?
The Crème De La Curl Creme gives soft, touchable definition. The Hold Me Baby Curly Hair Gel adds humidity-resistant hold, frizz control, and longer-lasting definition. Many wavies use the cream alone for a soft look; for best longevity, layer it with the gel.
How do I refresh day-two/day-three waves without rewashing?
How do I refresh day-two/day-three waves without rewashing?
Mist hair with water to re-hydrate, smooth a pea-sized amount of the Crème De La Curl Creme between palms and glaze over frizzy areas, then scrunch. If you need more hold, scrunch in a small amount of the Hold Me Baby Curly Hair Gel and let hair dry before gently scrunching out the cast.
What is a “gel cast,” and how do I ‘scrunch out the crunch’ properly?
What is a “gel cast,” and how do I ‘scrunch out the crunch’ properly?
A gel cast forms as gel dries around your waves to lock in shape. Let hair dry 100% (air-dry or diffuse), then gently scrunch to break the cast for soft, bouncy waves with shine — this is expected with the Hold Me Baby Curly Hair Gel.
I have hard water / I swim often. How do I prevent dull, brassy, or heavy waves?
I have hard water / I swim often. How do I prevent dull, brassy, or heavy waves?
Hard-water minerals can weigh hair down and cause brassiness on light hair. Incorporate the Just To Clarify Clarifying Shampoo regularly (see Q3) to remove mineral build-up. If you’re blonde/grey, use the Kick Your Brass Toning Cleanser when needed to neutralise yellow tones; for heavy mineral build-up, clarify first, then tone.
I’m sensitive to fragrance — what should I know?
I’m sensitive to fragrance — what should I know?
Some formulas contain fragrance and/or essential oils. For example, the Just To Clarify Clarifying Shampoo includes lemon, mandarin, rosemary and patchouli essential oils; the Come Clean Gentle Cleanser contains ingredients like wheat-germ oil and soy protein that may be sensitising for some. Always patch test and check the ingredient lists if you have sensitivities.
Should wavies co-wash?
Should wavies co-wash?
Most wavies do better using the Come Clean Gentle Cleanser as their regular cleanser, as co-washes tend to suit curly and coily hair. If you do co-wash occasionally, keep it infrequent and maintain your clarifying cadence to avoid build-up.
